Richard McKay Rorty

(American philosopher, 1931–2007). Rorty was one of the most important and influential philosophers writing in English during the second half of the twentieth century. He is the author of the seminal work, Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature, in which he rejects foundationalist accounts of knowledge.
